NOMA is hosting “An evening with Nefertari at Café NOMA” this Thursday, July 7, from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm. The three-hour experience includes a private tour of the exhibition and a multi-course dinner created by Egyptian-born chef Khaled Kegazzi.
4. Visit Compère Lapin’s recently reopened raw bar
In honor of their anniversary, Compton and Miller are thrilled to announce the return of the CL Raw Bar, which sat empty for a few months due to the pandemic and supply shortage. Back on the menu are crustaceans, crudos, ceviches, including Gulf Oysters, Marinated Crab Fingers, Peel-and-Eat Shrimp, and more.
5-6. Listen to live music at the Thursday at Twilight concert series
You’ve got a date every Thursday this month to enjoy live music at City Park. Bring your friends and listen to musicians at the Pavilion of the Two Sisters.
These are the first concerts scheduled this month:
- July 7 – James Rivers Movement
James Rivers plays a mixture of Rock, progressive Jazz, Rhythm, Blues, and Gospel. He’s one of the only three Jazz musicians ever known to play the bagpipes.
- July 14 – Harvey Jesus and Fire
Louisiana’s premier dance band that has performed all over the Gulf South and Las Vegas.
7. Visit the Queen Nefertari Exhibition after-hours every Tuesday at the NOMA
NOMA is open until 9 pm every Tuesday for visitors to enjoy Queen Nefertari’s Egypt exhibition.
