Imagine you’re tasting a perfectly fried beignet. Except it’s not sweet, it’s filled with crawfish. Are you salivating yet?
New Orleans’s traditional food is certainly tasty and unique. As a mix of cultures on the same plate, flavors are diverse, interesting, and rich. On the top of our list, we’ll always find the conventional beignets: fried dough sprinkled with confectioner’s sugar. However, some NOLA restaurants have used this recipe and taken it to the next level. How about stuffing it with different types of ingredients?
This is exactly what Stuph’d decided to do since they opened in 2016. The popular restaurant has been converting new visitors into regulars on a daily basis ever since. Located in the St. Claude neighborhood in New Orleans, their menu includes crispy beignets filled with crawfish, shrimp, crabmeat, Philly cheesesteak, or grilled vegetables. Nonetheless, their bestseller is the Creole Queen Beignet, which consists of their special crawfish sauce, lump crab and shrimp. For dessert, you can choose between a traditional beignet or a stuffed one with oreo cookies, apple, strawberry, pecan pie, sweet potato, brownie, berry, or creamy cheesecake.
They’ll make sure you are Stuph’d before you leave!
