There is nothing sweeter than a NOLA beignet!
Beignets are a New Orleans classic; soft, fried doughnuts sprinkled with confectioners sugar just in the right amount.
The next few weeks look rainy, so why not stay inside while enjoying a cup of coffee and a classic beignet?
We asked our followers to recommend their top beignet spots in New Orleans, and this is what we got:
1. Café Beignet
Where: 📍622 Canal St
📍311 Bourbon St
📍334 Royal St
📍600 Decatur St
#BeignetDoneThat
Local and delicious! Since 1990 Café Beignet has four locations in the French Quarter. Each one offers something unique to its visitors, including live music, cocktails, and delicious surprises!
2. Café Du Monde
Where:📍 1039 Decatur St
There is no coming to New Orleans without visiting Café Du Monde in the French Market. This delicious and cozy café has become a NOLA tradition. The café is open 24 hours a day, so there’s no excuse for not stopping by.
3. Loretta’s Authentic Pralinés
Where: 📍French Market
📍2101 N Rampart St
Loretta S. Harrison was the first African American woman to own and operate her own praline company in NOLA. Her love-filled beignets have been making us drool since more than 35 years ago. The menu includes classic beignets and other life-changing options like crab beignets. They are all to die for!
4. The Vintage Restaurant
Where:📍 3121 Magazine St
The Vintage Restaurant wants you to enjoy life. That is why they offer a yummy selection of beignets you can eat while sipping coffee. Try the traditional type or go wild and have one smothered with bacon gravy and a poached egg. You won’t regret it!
