1. Celebrate Vietnamese New Year
Vietnamese New Year is celebrated on February 1. This 2022, it’ll be celebrated in the Big Easy from February 4-6 in the Tet Fest. Presented by the Mary Queen of Vietnam Church, attendees will be able to enjoy traditional cuisine, music, and dances, as well as children’s activities and a stunning firework display.

2. Enjoy “Frozen” the musical
“Frozen” arrives in New Orleans at the Saenger Theatre, and tickets are now on sale. There will be 14 performances from February 10 to February 20. You can find all the details here.

3. Don’t miss the Mardi Gras parades
Warm-up for Mardi Gras during February. This month, there are many exciting and unusual parades from different Krewes, such as the Krewe of Chewbaccus on February 5, Krewe Bohème on February 11, and the Krewe of Cleopatra on February 18. You can check out the schedules and routes here.
4. Kick-off crawfish season
The weather gets warmer, and the crawfish season begins with it. Crawfish are in season during the spring months but can be found in January and February. Don’t hesitate to try the boils around town and in local markets.
5. Honor and remember during Black History Month
African American History Month takes place each year during February. These are the days to honor, learn and celebrate the lives and legacies of different African American leaders. The New Orleans African American Museum has current exhibitions no local or tourist should skip. You can find them all here.
