It’s official: the most wonderful time of the year has arrived!
Thanksgiving has passed, marking the unofficial start of the holiday season. And no holiday season in New Orleans is complete without a visit to The Waldorf Wonderland, The Roosevelt’s elegantly decorated lobby.
Every year New Orleans’ most exquisite historic hotel transforms its lobby into a show-stopping winter wonderland. It has been a long-standing tradition for the past several decades, each year somehow outdoing the last. And this year, although a tad different to accommodate Covid safety guidelines, the hotel is yet again brimming with enough holiday cheer to last the whole season.
The lobby is filled with dozens of ornate holiday trees, hundreds of thousands of sparkling lights, bows, winter branches and garlands, and 2,200 glass ornaments. It’s an absolutely stunning holiday experience you’ll remember for years to come. And unsurprisingly, the lobby makes for the most incredible holiday photos!
The hotel has announced it will not host its annual lighting ceremony this year, but its breathtaking lobby will remain open to the public for the duration of the season. So grab your cameras and get ready to ring in the holiday season in true New Orleans style!
The Roosevelt is following all local, state and CDC protocols. Guests must wear a mask and the hotel asks that people keep flowing through the lobby to prevent congestion.
