4 NOLA Restaurants Offering Delicious Mocktails For Your Dry January

Dry January is easy to finish when you’re in the Big Easy. Especially if you know where to find the best mocktails in the city. We’re giving you a little push by making a little list of some of the restaurants where you’ll get your non-alcoholic cocktail fix. 

1. The Bower

Beverage director: Mickey Mullins

Drink: “Virgin Mood Ring”– This vibrant mocktail is made with vanilla bean lemonade, butterfly pea flower syrup, and soda water.

2. Bywater American Bistro

Drink: We Want A Shrubbery – Features a blueberry-blood orange shrub, sparkling soda, and orange garnish. 

Where: 2900 Chartres Street, New Orleans 

 

3. Commons Club 

Spirit guide: Christy Bradley

Drinks: Spiced Blackberry Fizz – Warm winter spices like star anise, cinnamon, and allspice are combined with blackberries to create a spiced shrub, while egg white and Fever-Tree ginger beer add depth, foam, and a bit of fizz.

Why Am I Mr. Pink – Made with lemon, grapefruit, cinnamon, pear syrup, and topped with soda, this concoction is the perfect drink to enjoy during Dryuary. 

The “D” is Silent – This spicy cocktail is made with ginger, lime, honey, pineapple, chili, and topped with soda. Garnished with cilantro and ginger.

4. Mister Mao

Beverage director: William “Wildcat” Greenwell 

Drink: Hibiscus Masala Lemonade – In tune with Mister Mao’s “inauthentic” global cuisine, this creative cocktail features hibiscus tea, chaat masala, fresh lime, and house-made ginger syrup. It’s garnished with marigolds.
