Cool Zoo is re-opening after it’s one year closure due to the pandemic.
Due to COVID-19, Audubon Zoo’s waterpark had to close last year. However, the wet and wild, kid-friendly fun is coming back for the summer season.
Audubon Cool Zoo will re-open to the public on June 16, boasting an ample of fun for the whole family. Of course, there will be new safety protocols that must be followed due to coronavirus precautions.
There’s a 750-foot lazy river with two sand beaches, lounge chairs, and more! The lazy river takes seven minutes to finish, but be careful, as there’s a lot of wet and interactive fun along the gator run!
Not to mention that this waterpark is within a zoo! Although tickets are sold separately and Cool Zoo is an Audubon Zoo ticket add-on. Luckily, this year the ticket prices are cheaper for Audubon Cool Zoo.
Admission is $10 non-members and $8 for members, on top of your zoo admission. Advance ticket reservations are required for entry to Cool Zoo. Entry times are offered in two daily sessions.
Opening on June 16, the waterpark will be open Wednesday to Sunday until August 7, when it will switch to weekends only, closing up for the season on Labor Day in September. Session 1 is 10 AM – 1 PM and session 2 is 2 PM – 5 PM.
