After four years, the World Naked Bike Ride returns to NOLA to make cyclists strip down and raise awareness.
Cyclists from different parts of Louisiana are invited to come together on Saturday, June 11, in New Orleans to ride naked for a good cause.
The “World Naked Bike Ride” organization summons riders from all over the world to converge, work together, and organize rides in their cities to raise awareness of the safety issues they face on a day-to-day basis.
The starting location and time have not been confirmed yet. However, cyclists expect it to be in the same place as the last Naked Bike Ride, which started and ended at Mickey Markey Park. The ride takes everyone through the French Quarter, past Jackson Square, and back to the park.
Riders typically assemble at 4:00 pm for body painting, and the ride starts at 5:00 pm.
If you’re not comfortable being fully nude, don’t worry, it isn’t required to participate. The dress code is defined as ‘bare as you dare,’ so riders are encouraged to wear as little as possible while still feeling comfortable.
If you still have questions about the event, the event’s official website has a FAQ section that might help you.
