We’re ready to celebrate the 4th of July this weekend!
Get ready for a lot of fun and breathtaking fireworks this year. Even though some COVID restrictions are still in place, we’ll be able to get a little bit of normalcy and celebrate Independence Day this Sunday.
Join any of these events that will offer you great food, a patriotic mood, and magnificent views of the firework shows.

Sparks in the Park – Bogue Falaya Park
Bogue Falaya Park will be hosting an event on Saturday if you want to celebrate Independence Day one day ahead. The event will start at 4:30 pm and finish with fireworks at 9:00 pm. Don’t forget your lawn chairs, picnic baskets, and blankets. There will be live music, a hot dog eating contest, and a watermelon eating contest. Admission is free!

St. John Baptist Parish
The St. John Baptist Parish welcomes everyone at their annual fireworks show. The Independence Day Celebration will be held on July 1 from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm. Both sides of the river will have locations for festivities. Gatherings will happen at the St. Peter Catholic Church in Reserve and St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Edgard. Fireworks will begin at 9:00 pm.

Slidell Heritage Festival
Hosted by the Rotary Club of Slidell, the celebration will take place on Saturday, and it is also completely free. The gates will open at 6:00 pm, and there will be live music from Witness at 7:30 pm. There will be food trucks and beverages for food lovers! Fireworks will then start at 9:00 pm.
