It’s that time of the year! Spring is in full bloom, and with summer just around the corner, flowers are growing throughout the whole state. Make a weekend out of it and take the entire family (pets included!) to take pictures along the sunflower fields.
The Sunflower Festival in Gilliam, Louisiana, features arts and craft sales by local artists, art-related activities for children, live music by local groups and a blues band, and a photography contest, with photos being displayed at the Gilliam Library.
Local food vendors will also be offering regional cuisine. The list of vendors includes the Main Street Restaurant, James Country Store Restaurant, and D&I Café and Deli.
Don’t miss the sunflowers blooming along Highway 3049.
