On Thursday, April 28, 2022, spirits industry legends Dale Degroff and Cedd Moses will host a cocktail party at the Southern Food and Beverage Museum (SoFAB), in celebration of the release of Degroff’s newest book, The New Craft of the Cocktail and Moses’s newest book, Pouring with Heart. Signed copies of both books will be available for purchase during the meet and greet with the authors. Priced at $50 per person ($40 for SoFAB members), the ticket includes cocktails featuring Hendricks Neptunia Gin, along with sumptuous seafood prepared by SoFAB’s Chefs in Residence, Colleen Allerton and Camille Staub.
“We are thrilled to have SoFAB board members and longtime friends Cedd and Dale back in town to celebrate their new books. Both of these gentlemen played integral roles in creating the craft cocktail movement that made it possible to get a good cocktail in any city in America,” said Brent Rosen, President, and CEO of SoFAB.
Dale Degroff, also known as “King Cocktail,” was one of the first bartenders in the U.S. to revive the classic cocktails of the pre-prohibition era from his helm at New York’s Rainbow Room in the late 1980s. Degroff reinvented the bartending profession and set off a cocktail revival that continues to this day.
Cedd Moses is the founder and chief executive of the 213 Nightlife Group, which operates some of the best-known cocktail lounges in downtown Los Angeles, including Seven Grand Whiskey Bar, the Golden Gopher, and Broadway Bar. Moses has helped revitalize the food and beverage scene in Downtown Los Angeles and now dedicates his time to fostering careers for members of the beverage industry. Both Degroff and Moses are board members of the Southern Food & Beverage Museum in New Orleans.
