You’ll be able to present your proof of vaccination or a negative covid test.
The increase in COVID cases throughout New Orleans has made businesses take action and set up new rules for customers.
At restaurants like La Boca Steakhouse, Cowbell, and Effervescence, they will be asking for proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test and a mask for you to be allowed to eat or drink inside. Otherwise, you’ll only be able to sit outside, where according to the CDC, it’s less likely for the virus to spread.
The decision taken by these and more restaurants has been heavily criticized on social media. However, owners assure that it’s not a political decision, just a preventative one to keep their staff and customers healthy and their families.
Restaurants are following the example of NOLA entertainment venues and bars that announced last week that they’d require patrons who wish to attend performances at their establishments to provide valid proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test performed within the previous 72 hours.
If you’re planning on stepping out for breakfast, lunch, dinner or cocktails, don’t hesitate to ask the restaurant or venue about their specific rules.
