(and delicious Italian food on their menu).
Are you ready to see a little piece of Italy in the middle of New Orleans? Head over to the Mona Lisa Restaurant in the quarter. The owner will receive you like you’re a part of the family and keep the wine flowing while you have a great conversation with friends and family.
Their menu features a mix of classic Italian food with an American touch. You can choose between salads, calzones, sandwiches, pizza, pasta, and delicious desserts. Some of the favorite dishes of their regulars include “Your Favorite Calzone” which is stuffed with mozzarella and marinara, as well as your choice of two ingredients, the seafood pizza with tilapia, shrimp, and baby clams, the Alfredo pasta with linguini served in a sauce of buttercream and Parmesan, served with English peas, and the Lemoncello cake.
The place is normally very full and not widely known by tourists. Eat like a NOLA local!
They do not take reservations, so make sure you arrive there early and be patient while waiting for a table. It’ll be worth it!
The restaurant is currently closed until further notice due to Hurricane Ida. We’ll keep you posted about their reopening.
