The Hot Tin Roof Bar is finally back with a special throwback cocktail menu.
Soon after Hot Tin began operating as a bar again, Hurricane Ida wreaked havoc on the city and once again, plans changed. Now, QED Hospitality is thrilled to announce the return of Hot Tin – New Orleans’ bustling rooftop cocktail bar with sweeping views of the city – with a robust menu of the famed signature cocktails that earned the locale a place in everyone’s hearts.
“Over the past tumultuous 18 months, New Orleanians have been denied so much of what we love about our city,” says Whalen. “While we can’t bring back Jazz Fest this year, the team at Hot Tin can offer our loyal guests some small comfort and joy by bringing back a part of what we loved about 2019 in the form of cocktails like the Endless Summer, the Skyliner, The Wolf in Lambs Clothing and Sweater Weather.”
Back on the menu are the Hot Tin Throwbacks including the famed Endless Summer – añejo and reposado tequilas, cucumber-lemon shrub, and coconut, served in a coconut flake rimmed rocks glass and garnished with a cucumber; Skyliner – Cathead Honeysuckle Vodka, grapefruit, lime, Campari and Hellfire Bitters; Sweater Weather – rye, apple brandy, herbsaint, cinnamon syrup, and Angostura Bitters; and Wolf in Lamb’s Clothing – gin, lemon, basil, honey, and Lambrusco.
Also on the menu are Specialty Highballs including Fenneller on the Roof – Hendrick’s Gin, fennel, lychee, lime and Mediterranean Elixir; With Ease – Grey Goose vodka, strawberry, lemongrass, Indian Tonic, and lemon; and Japanese Highball Proper with Suntori Toki and Louisiana Sparkling. Of course, Classic Cocktails are also on offer and include a Spicy Paloma, Espresso Martini, Old Fashioned and more.
The crown jewel of the Pontchartrain Hotel, Hot Tin boasts a breathtaking 270-degree view of the Mississippi River and downtown New Orleans. The space captures the look and feels of a 1940s artist loft with nods to American playwright, Tennessee Williams, who lived at the hotel while writing A Streetcar Named Desire.
