Bring your next date to church..no, really.
Vessel is one of NOLA’s most gorgeous and unique restaurants. Housed in a renovated Lutheran church dating back to 1914, there’s no mistaking the historical roots of this building. The previous life of the now restaurant is apparent the second you arrive, as it has been perfectly preserved in all its glory, giving diners an experience to remember.
Think stained glass windows and those spectacular tall ceilings set with warm intimate lighting and classy cocktails. Needless to say, diners don’t just enjoy the food, as the architecture is a show of its own. Vessel also has a sizable patio with a clear roof, giving guests the option to enjoy the night sky while they wine and dine.
The restaurant offers an all-day menu with something for everyone, featuring fresh seasonal ingredients that are locally sourced. It also offers an extensive brunch menu on weekends, with everything from shrimp and grits and a breakfast tartine to the classic brunch waffles and eggs Benedict.
Their drink menu is also something of a marvel, offering a decent selection of wines, craft beers and handcrafted cocktails. And Vessel makes sure their customers get the full cocktail experience, serving their tasty drinks in 12 different glasses. A few interesting cocktail selections include their Vieux Carré, La Louisiane and the Bee’s Knees.
Vessel has a daily happy hour from 4 pm to 6 pm, and offers their brunch menu on weekends from 10 am until 2 pm.
